Middle Fork of the American River
This is the best class 4 summertime river in northern California. 17 miles of superb wilderness with some awesome rapids thrown in to the mix. "Tunnel Chute" Rapid is one of the most impressive rapids in California - A thrilling 70' flume that drops almost 20 feet, followed by a calm float through a man made tunnel! The water is crystal clear and there are many pristine pools to cool off in throughout the trip. A picnic lunch is served on a sandy beach as well. Plan to be back to your car by 5:30 PM.

2008 Trip Dates: Weekday trips (Monday through Friday) depart daily from May through September. Saturday and Sunday trips are available only in September if you reserve early.

The 2008 Sierra snowpack was near normal so we have another great year of rafting! The South Fork American River . We have guaranteed water all summer - 6 days per week (wednesday - no trips). In September we have water Friday, Saturday and Sunday - guaranteed! If you have a group of 6 or more persons contact us for our last minute discounts! The Middle Fork American: As usual we will have good flows daily from now through September 20th on the Middle Fork. One of the most dependable class 4 rivers in the West!
